We had a very busy weekend, and Elliot had many firsts in his short life. We flew on Saturday afternoon, so his first air travel! We were a bit nervous about it, since he's a very active guy, and getting more and more stubborn every day. But the flight out was at his naptime, so he slept. Whew. Once there we rented a car and drove to Columbia.
Sunday was a big day. Elliot met his Great-Grandmother Powell, took his first swim in a pool, and spent about an hour at a beach. A very packed day, and it was good to see Elliot and his great-grandma. She's 98!
Monday we spent another couple hours with Great-Grandma, then hit the road back to Charlotte airport. Unfortunately we were 20th in line for takeoff, meaning an extra 25 minutes just sitting in the plane before takeoff. Never fun, especially with an antsy 1 year old. After some fussiness and crying, he did fall asleep, so it wasn't terrible, just awful...
I put some pictures in the 12 Months album.
