New Additions

We visited St. Johns Hospital and Baby Factory on Sunday to visit with our friends the Browns and their new baby boy, Jakob. Can you believe how little that kid is? Which actually he's not, because I think he is almost 8 lbs. However, seeing Elliot next to little Jakob was quite the shock, as it's hard to see your little one growing in front of you. Here is Matt and Ian holding their sons. In the Picasa folder there is a picture of Jill holding Jakob too.


We also did some babysitting on Sunday for our next door neighbors. Their daughter Lily just turned one, so she's always going to be the older woman to Elliot. We watched some Little House on the Prairie with 6 year old Cate and generally lounged around. Elliot was also intrigued by their big black Labrador.

Car Seat update and rant. First, Elliot still hates his car seat with a fiery passion. Insert child, child begins wailing. Makes for many pleasant car rides. Second, why are there no programs to recycle car seats? The manufacturers give them safety lives of only 6-8 years, but afterwards the materials aren't recyclable! You just have to throw it out and fill up the landfill? It's just plastic for Pete's sake.
