Saturday Party, Sunday Relaxation

Big weekend for Elliot. Saturday he took his longest ride in a car (over an hour!) to Litchfield, Illinois. His Uncle Doug was having a party, so we packed up the boy and a whole car load of stuff for a 24 hour visit. That's right, it was also his first overnight stay somewhere other than his own house, and he handled it like a real pro. There were plenty of folks at the party to take a turn holding him, and he slept a bit and ate a bit, and then it was time for bed.

We brought his bassinet from home, so it really wasn't too different for him. He was tired from all the activity and went right off to dreamland. And though he woke up a little earlier than at home, it really didn't affect him too much. On Sunday we got up, watched some nicktoons, and then spent the morning leisurely doing nothing. At one point Jill and I even took a solo trip to the Rural King, without Elliot! I believe he slept the whole time we were gone...
